The optimum amount of sunscreen application has been scientifically determined based on the average facial areas of Korean men and women. Here’s the breakdown:

Average Facial Area:
Korean Women: Approximately 371cm².
Korean Men: Approximately 410cm².

Using these measurements, we derived the optimal sunscreen weight to be 1g.

Calculation:
For Women:
Face Area (371cm²) divided by the Standard Area for Sunscreen Test (35cm²)
Multiply the result by the standard amount for a sunscreen test (70mg)
Result: 742mg, or approximately 0.7g.
For Men:
Face Area (410cm²) divided by the Standard Area for Sunscreen Test (35cm²)
Multiply the result by the standard amount for a sunscreen test (70mg)
Result: 838mg, or approximately 0.8g.

After factoring in the amount that remains on the finger during application, the overall recommended amount is 1g for optimal coverage.
